R1 calipers

Does anyone know if 07-08 R1 calipers will fit in a 06 honda 600rr?

My guess would be NO. The 07-08 R1 calipers are six piston and much bigger than the Honda 4 pots. You would have to change the bottom of the fork, and then rotors also. I have a set to put on my 04-06 R1, but the Ohlins brackets for the fork bottoms are like $500. :mad:

Nothing, I found a set of the six piston calipers for $105, figured i'd do a little brake upgrade

The zx636 has six piston calipers and they fit so i wasn't sure if the R1s would. I didn't think about rotors, are R1 rotors 320mm?

you have to measure the spread from bolt hole to bolt hole (caliper mounting holes that is) I can't see how a six piston would fit the same spread as a 4 piston.......but who knows
